Guests to Sails to Rails will journey through the Age of Sail, a time when tail ships plied the treacherous waters of the Caribbean, Gulf of Mexico and Florida Keys from the 1500 to early 1900’s. These waters were once filled with treasure-laden Spanish Galleons, dreaded Pirates, merchant ships and more as the New World made its riches known to all who sailed her waters. A visit to Sails to Rails is one of the most comprehensive overviews of Florida Keys and Key West history a visitor can obtain.

Key West Shipwreck Treasure Museum: Discover the perils of the shipwrecking industry as you journey back in time to 1851. See how the rewards of this dangerous profession made Key West one of the richest cities in America. Artifacts and video presentations, as well as a 65-foot observation tower, make the museum a unique experience. See and hear film clips, interviews and actual underwater footage in the re-created shipwrecker's warehouse. Experience the mesmerizing tale of the Isaac Allerton, one of the richest shipwrecks in the history of Key West.

Many of the artifacts on display come from her watery grave. Learn about Asa Tift and other individuals who made their fortunes in the exciting and perilous world of wreck salvage.

Harry Truman Little White House: While president, Truman spent 175 days in Key West at Quarters A on the Truman Naval Station. Today, as Florida's only presidential museum, the Little White House provides a personal glimpse of one of America's greatest presidents. In 1946, Harry Truman began visiting Key West for rest and relaxation and returned for 175 days during his presidency. Our history tellers relate a fascinating & personal glimpse of the most important man of his time.

The public rooms of the Truman Little White House and the introductory film is accessible to guests with mobility issues. Scripts for the hearing impaired are available upon request. Check in with booth agent for next available Truman Little White House tour. Old Town Trolley Tours depart from boarding locations approx. every 30 minutes. Patrons with etickets (voucher) can board at any Old Town Trolley boarding location. Without an e-Ticket voucher you must go to the ticket booth location with invoice order number. Assistance animals, such as seeing-eye dogs, are the only animals that are allowed on board the trolleys.
